Just Because
I have an AP Chemistry take-home test today (19 pages?! Who does that?) so I have very little time to post much of anything. But I figured we could all use a little North Korea humor, so enjoy.

Hello World
Hi. My name is Rachel. I am a high school student who attends Atlantic City High School, which is a wonderfully diverse community of rabble-rousers, overachievers, and teenagers who are indifferent to just about everything (they dislike the term goth and punk now, so I've heard- many prefer the term hipster). I was recently roped into joining a blog created by my fantastically excitable friend, Fariba. (http://faribatazrachel.blogspot.com/) Well, okay, I was asked and I agreed. But I'll deny any accusations that I voluntary joined....So those who read that blog- forget everything you have read here. Except the part about my name and school. That part's good.
So I decided to make my own blog. Because I obviously don't waste enough time as it is.
But in all seriousness, I've always wanted to start my own blog. I know nobody will read it, except those poor souls that Fariba should manage to convince, but it's nice to have an outlet. And I know a ton of people have wanted to read my diary before.... and isn't it cool to give into peer pressure nowadays?
So I will be documenting my adventures starting...now! Okay, well not right now, I guess I should explain some things first. My real name is Rachel. But my pseudonym/stage-name/alter ego is Raina. I like the name, and it's unique or at least more unique than Rachel. Like seriously- this past Friday I went to my friend, Molly Ludwig's birthday party and HONEST TO GOD- there were three Rachels there. I never hated my name more. And I've hated my name for 17 years.
Sorry, I needed a transition. Actually, I really don't have much else to say. I'll try to blog regularly, or at least as regularly as someone taking AP Chemistry can. I'll try to be understandable if I ever start to rant- usually it's just an intangible stream of curse words, but I can probably edit that into something comprehensible. And I'll try not to insult minority groups in my posts!
